Chicago, an inspirational city for our interior design projects.
We have been to Chicago to discuss few interior design projects with our clients.
Chicago is the city where the amazing Route 66 starts, and at the same time it will be the city where our first interior design project in the United State will be based.
In between meetings for our interior design projects, we had the pleasure to visit amazing locations which have been very inspiring.
Millennium Park is a public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago in Illinois.

We walked there to see the Cloud Gate, the amazing sculpture by Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor.
The reflection of the city is absolutely stunning, specially at dusk, as you start appreciating the city scape with the first lights on.
Next to it there is another amazing place to visit. The centrepiece of Millennium Park, which is the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, a flowing Frank Gehry-designed structure that hosts of the city’s biggest outdoor festivals and concerts.

In the evening it was time to visit the Chicago symphony orchestra and symphony centre.

Our lovely client took us to a jazz concert to the Chicago symphony orchestra.
Founded in 1891, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is consistently hailed as one of the greatest orchestras in the world.
In particular we listened to an amazing concert, the music of black America in migration, by phenomenal pianist Jason Moran.
A place that was literally a continuous inspiration for our interior design, was the Art Institute.
Founded in 1879 and located in Chicago’s Grant Park, is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. Recognised for its curatorial efforts and popularity among visitors, the museum hosts approximately 1.5 million guests annually.
With spectacular paintings from the masters, such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Seurat… It was a unique blast of colours and an experience that will definitely influence our interiors.
For our interior design projects, we could only go to one place: The Mart.
Entrance door of the Merchandise Mart – Chicago
TheMART (formerly The Merchandise Mart), located in the center of the sought-after River North submarket, is interwoven into the fabric of Chicago as an innovator in culture, art, business, fashion, media and more. As the largest privately held commercial building in the United States, it is one of the world’s leading commercial buildings, wholesale design center and the preeminent international business location in Chicago.
Offering continuous innovation and creativity from leading manufacturers and showrooms, theMART serves as a business hub for interior designers, architects, contractors, business owners and buyers.
It was great to source furniture and accessories for our interior design projects in Chicago, and for these we couldn’t miss Holly Hunt, always inspirational, Atelier Gary Lee, and Bent Wood Kitchens.
AS inspiration for our interior design projects, e visited Robie House by Frank Lloyd Wrights.

It’s an incredible modern house which every architect and interior designer should visit.
It was created by Frank Lloyd Wright for his client Frederick C. Robie, a forward-thinking businessman. Designed in Wright’s Oak Park studio in 1908 and completed in 1910, the building is both a masterpiece of the Prairie style and renowned as a forerunner of modernism in architecture.
Chicago has been a very inspiring city and we are so thrilled to start working on our first interior design project in such beautiful metropoli.
We went back to our interior design studio in London, with one song in hour head:
